I use the book No Drama Discipline in my parenting education class as part of our high school teen parent program and this workbook has been great to help guide discussions. I have also used the workbook personally and recommend it to friends to improve our own skills as parents. It's a great cheat if you don't have time to read the book.

Not really helpful for toddler age children, information great and certainly makes sense. Better for old children who can comprehend consequences and make choices.

I am a Child and Family therapist and use this book all the time. It is very helpful to help parents go step by step in making positive changes in their relationship with their children.

Excellent information that offers not only theraputic strategies, but great information relating to parenting interventions.

Like the book. but very disappointment with the condition of the book when arrived. Seem to me it was not stored correctly. Bend like it was stored in a moist area. Really not happy about it.The option to replace is really not an option as it was a present sent overseas.

I have read the other reviews (the 2 star ones for example). Stop it. If you are not a Christian, you won't get this book. If you don't agree with the biblical premises - you won't like this book. But if you are a Christian and living in a world of porn, hook ups and the stuff of our culture, this is great. Their handling of same sex issues clearly shows a biological factor - so they navigate the hard stuff really well. This book is really well written and clearly shows that sex is beautiful and that Christians should enjoy sex - but it expresses the boundaries of how and where. As someone who has had sexual brokenness, I loved it.

I loved this book. It primarily approaches the topic from an academic point of view using psychology, sociology and scientific principles-- it reads like a textbook most of the time-- but it also has a solid God-centered foundation. I didn't find it to be particularly preachy on any one topic. Compared to most of the other Christian sex books out there, this book is fantastic, well-rounded, and highly informed.The chapter on Authentic Sexuality was my favorite and helped me so much; it really answered a lot of questions about sexuality and sexual expression for Christians and how it relates in relationship to God. It also goes into why sexual repression started in the Church and the effects it's had on many Christians, as well as a very in-depth discussion on how inauthentic sexuality affects us all, including abuse and addiction. Overall I found the whole book to be well-written and incredibly useful for my personal application.It should be noted that this book isn't perfect; there are some minor typos throughout and some of the information felt slightly incomplete to me. I would have liked them to go more in-depth into masturbation; it's touched on in a few places in the book, but ultimately only really devotes one or two pages to it towards the end. It also can be a little tedious-- as I said, it reads like a textbook. But even still, I think all Christians who've grown up with distorted perspectives on sexuality (and that's quite a few of us, sadly) should ready this book.This book is especially good for parents to understand their child's sexual development!! I also recommend "Naked and Not Ashamed" for those looking to explore a healthy Christian perspective on sexuality.

Required reading for my grad program, but a great read with lots of useful information and insight from a Christian therapist's perspective. Highly recommend for those who want to learn more about the Biblical, covenant view of marriage and sexuality.

I learned so much from this book. I have read a great deal about relationships, intimacy, sex et al. This book put things into clear perspective. It helped me understand more about my relationship to my wife and has added an additional dimension to the counseling i do. I highly recommend the book.

I'm teaching myself how to play piano and am using this series along with the Adult Alfred's Course. I absolutely love this book. I was frustrated with the pieces in my lesson books because they sounded like dumb downed versions of the original. These pieces are outstanding and are very clear as to the fingering (always helpful when you're a beginner!). The CD that comes with it is spot on and very helpful. I'm looking forward to progressing with these books.

My nine year old son is in Piano Adventures Level 2A and we have been using this Masterwork Classics Level 1-2 book as classical repertoire as we're putting my son on a classical track for piano. It's perfect, not too hard for a Level 2A student. Text is large and clear and about one page each. Absolutely perfect, and I bought about eight early repertoire books, most of which I returned.The other great Level 2A repertoire book is Pathways to Artistry - Masterworks Book 1 by Catherine Rollin, in case anyone is interested. (I don't have any connection to either of these books, I'm just a homeschooling mother.)

Not as varied with keys mostly C and G major alberti base pieces. Good for a reading supplement for beginners which is what I'm using it for. You may need to adjust some unnecessary bigger chord inversions in the LH for smaller student hands.

One of my favorite volumes for teaching classics. It starts out with very easy pieces. You can't beat it. A very nice CD, too.

Nice music. Just started using it. Interesting music that adds to my music learning. Each piece is short and that allows good focus on the material

Original settings that my piano students like to play plus a recording of the repertoire.

I got my first book by Rick Bayless soon after it was published and now have 7. Although we live hundreds of miles from his restaurants, my husband is from the Chicago area and I have been to Topolobampo a number of times and Frontera grill a couple. I have also traveled extensively in Mexico and love that I can use recipes from this book to re-experience dishes I've eaten in Mexico in a shorter time without sacrificing flavor or texture. Some of the traditional preparations in his early books, and in Diana Kennedy's books on Mexican cooking, are very time consuming and these are so much easier. I especially like the slow cooker recipes. I've made carnitas (one of my favorite foods when done well) the traditional way and am so impressed by the slow cooker results. I've never had a rice cooker, preferring the texture I can achieve on stove top, but may get one after reading some of the recipes in this book. ,

Rick extends and enhances the philosophy he laid out in the first Mexican Everyday, with a streamlined, yet still complex and delicious approach to Mexican home cooking. Whereas the overwhelming majority of the first everyday book could be cooked from a standard issue american grocery store, with no special equipment, More Mexican Everyday explores the use of specific appliances like slow and rice cookers and a more complex range of produce that might require a trip to Whole Foods or a farmers' market. Although this raises the requirements for home cooks, Rick is always there to explain how these recipes can fit into everyday life. Also, he includes recipes for 4 seasoning pastes and adobos (he calls them "secret weapons" and the total could be taken to 5 if you include the salsa macha recipe on page 333), which are worth the price of admission all by themselves. A great addition to my library of Mexican cookbooks!

I bought this cookbook for my husband for Father's Day. (My husband picks out what he want to eat and I make it.) We own two of Rick's other books so I was not sure that this book would have much that was new, but I was wrong. I have made many of the recipes over the past few weeks and have loved all, but one. In the beginning of the book Rick explains what kitchen tools a home cook needs. He convinced me to buy a slow cooker and I have really enjoyed using it. I have also been using my grandmother's cast iron frying pan again that I had stopped using many years ago. Then he explains some basic recipes that can be made ahead and then used to add depth of flavor to meals that can be cooked more quickly. Included are wonderful photos that show you the food and in some cases how to prepare it. When I am done, my food actually looks like the pictures and tastes as good as it looks.This is perfect for a home chef who needs to get food on the table quickly during the week and has more time to do some cook ahead on the weekends. If you like central american flavors, you will love this cookbook.

I have the first version of this cookbook too (Mexican Everyday), so after looking at the table of contents, I knew I wanted More Mexican Everyday. Right away I prepared a couple recipes, including the tomatillo sauce base, which is bright and full flavored. I had no serrano chilis, so I used the jalapeño chilis I had on hand. I think serranos have more heat, but the jalapeños stood in quite successfully. Just bought the heads of garlic to make the Roasted Garlic Mojo sauce. I only discovered Rick Bayless recently, and not through his television shows. My daughter-in-law is not a fan of chilis, but she loves the tomatillo sauce! You know I'll be making more recipes from this book.

I recently bought this book and have only made two dishes from so far - the pork carnitas and the roasted tomato salsa. Both were amazing and the directions were very easy to follow! I've made tomato salsas before, but none was as well received as this one. I also made another Rick Bayless dish not included in this book - the Guajillo Chilaquiles - google it! It's very easy to make and so full of great flavor.With this book I've managed to impress my husband, who is from Veracruz, Mexico and is desperately missing the flavors of his country, and I'm excited to try more dishes since the ones I've made so far, without any alterations whatsoever, have been so well received by my family.Thank you, Rick Bayless, for really making me excited to get into the kitchen and cook something new!

I heard Rick Bayless interviewed recently on the America's Test Kitchen podcast and decided to buy the book he mentioned throughout the interview. He has some good ideas, particularly his "secret weapons" that he always has in his refrigerator, viz. green chile adobo and red chile adobo. His "go to meals to know by heart" are interesting though not all to my liking. This is a good book to have on hand though. It is well-written and easy to use as a reference.

Excellent and easy to follow directions. Great idea for contents of covered recipes at front of book, summary, ingredient list, abundant color (before, during and after) pictures, directions in Rick's conversational tone, recap for shopping list. Wished it was not a hardback book, will be used often.

I have wanted this cookbook for a while now and finally ordered it. I have tried Bayless' recipes before and they are always authentic and delicious. He does use a number of very specific ingredients but, in general, they are fairly easy to track down. There are a lot of recipes in this book that I've never even heard of and can't wait to try
