For a used book it is in beautiful condition! I am very pleased with it. Also it arrived way earlier than expected, which was a great surprise. I couldn't wait to get it because it was a book my professor recommended to me to add to my collection. For what little I have gotten to read of it so far, he was absolutely right! This book is very instructional provideing proper head and eye movements with the hand and the proper progession of a movement and the details of what to do and what not to do when executing the technique. The book also provides musical information on how to progress with a movement. A wealth of information and a must for any teacher who is teaching Russian Style ballet.
This book provides detailed description of classic ballet technique. It's a good companion to Vera Kostrovitskaya's "100 lessons in classical ballet". Unfortunately it has very few illustrations.
